Job summary

An experienced Ofsted Registered Manager is needed to lead a children’s residential home near Quinton, West Midlands. You will ensure high standards of care, compliance with regulations, and a therapeutic, person-centred environment.

You will develop and supervise a skilled staff team, implement personalised care plans, build partnerships with families and local authorities, and drive safeguarding and governance.

Qualifications

• Qualified in childcare with Level 3 or higher.
• Experience leading a children’s residential service or similar setting.
• Proven ability to develop and supervise staff, ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and company policies.
• Create and maintain a safe, therapeutic, and person-centred environment promoting wellbeing and outcomes for young people.
• Lead, mentor and develop a skilled staff team through supervision and professional development.
• Develop, implement and review personalised care and support plans for young people.
• Build strong partnerships with families, local authorities, healthcare professionals, education providers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure high standards of safeguarding, governance, quality assurance and risk management across the service.
• Support education, health, employment and independence goals for young people.
• Promote meaningful activities and community engagement to enhance confidence.
