Salary: £40,496 + £60 per sleep-in
Location: Swadlincote
Service Type: 2-Bed Children s Home (Teenagers 1 Male, 1 Female)
Shift Pattern: 2 on / 4 off (sleep‑ins included)

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team in Swadlincote, supporting young people with complex needs in a 2-bed children s residential home. This is a fantastic career development opportunity, with the expectation of progressing into a dual‑registered management role as we expand with a second home (OFSTED registration visit scheduled for 22nd August).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with OFSTED regulations.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the care team to deliver outstanding support for young people.
  • Act as a role model, providing consistent, nurturing care to children with emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Support care planning, safeguarding, and positive behaviour management.
  • Step up in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring smooth operations and high‑quality care delivery.
Requirements
  • Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Children s Homes Regulations.
  • Leadership experience (as a Team Leader, Senior, or Deputy) desirable.
  • Ambition to progress into dual registration with support from the organisation.
