Job summary
A maritime transportation company is seeking a Superintendent - Offshore in Glasgow, Scotland. This full-time position requires expertise in managing offshore vessel operations and excellent organizational skills. The successful candidate will ensure that vessels are maintained in a safe condition, oversee ship operations, and comply with statutory requirements. A strong financial acumen and previous experience in a superintendent role are preferred.
Qualifications
Management of offshore vessel operations supported with officer experience onboard and preferably Superintendent experience ashore.
Keen knowledge of vessel operations and technical requirements including safety procedures.
Responsibilities
Ensuring managed vessels are operated efficiently to required standards to minimise downtime.
Acting as principal point of contact between ship and shore-based staff.
Auditing the day-to-day technical running of the vessels.
Monitoring vessels to ensure all statutory requirements are complied with.
Carrying out periodic ship visits and inspections.
Assisting the Fleet Manager in the preparation of annual operating cost budgets.

Education
Minimum OOW Certificate of Competency or academic qualification/experience
