Job summary

A maritime transportation company is seeking a Superintendent - Offshore in Glasgow, Scotland. This full-time position requires expertise in managing offshore vessel operations and excellent organizational skills. The successful candidate will ensure that vessels are maintained in a safe condition, oversee ship operations, and comply with statutory requirements. A strong financial acumen and previous experience in a superintendent role are preferred.

Qualifications

• Management of offshore vessel operations supported with officer experience onboard and preferably Superintendent experience ashore.
• Keen knowledge of vessel operations and technical requirements including safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring managed vessels are operated efficiently to required standards to minimise downtime.
• Acting as principal point of contact between ship and shore-based staff.
• Auditing the day-to-day technical running of the vessels.
• Monitoring vessels to ensure all statutory requirements are complied with.
• Carrying out periodic ship visits and inspections.
• Assisting the Fleet Manager in the preparation of annual operating cost budgets.

Minimum OOW Certificate of Competency or academic qualification/experience
