Job summary

First Marine Solutions is seeking an experienced Survey Engineer to join our Aberdeen-based team, with offshore attendance on an ad-hoc basis. You will ensure equipment is prepared, tested, installed, and commissioned for offshore deployments, and provide technical support across projects.

The role requires an HNC or higher in Electronic or ICT, 2–5 years’ hands-on survey experience, a full UK driving licence, offshore certification, and solid IT skills.

Qualifications

• HNC or higher in Electronic or ICT or equivalent qualification/field experience.
• Minimum of 2–5 years hands-on survey oriented electronic/ICT experience.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Offshore certification held.
• Strong IT skills and good PC hardware understanding.
• Experience as a Survey Engineer in field/offshore is required.
• Knowledge of logistics and customs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, test and package equipment pre-deployment to company standards.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers to resource project requirements.
• Serve as the initial operations contact in the workshop.
• Provide technical and operational support to operations and field staff.
• Plan with Operations to ensure correct hardware/software for each project.
• Assist with international mobilisations/demobilisations as needed.
• Install, integrate and commission equipment on onshore/offshore sites.
• Identify and report faults during deployment and perform first-line repairs.
