Job summary

Earthstream seeks a Structural / Mechanical Approval Engineer to join a specialist team certifying offshore containers, lifting equipment and CCUs across energy sectors. You will perform structural reviews, analyses and certifications throughout design, manufacture, and operation, supporting global clients.

Essentially you will assess drawings, calculations and test data, provide clear technical reports, and liaise with manufacturers, operators and contractors to drive compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and mechanical assessments of offshore containers, lifting equipment, and portable offshore units.
• Review drawings, calculations, material specs, fabrication details and test documentation.
• Conduct structural analysis using engineering software and FEA techniques.
• Assess designs against offshore standards, codes, and regulations.
• Produce technical reports, engineering assessments, and certification recommendations.
• Support manufacturers, operators, and engineering contractors through project delivery.
• Manage multiple projects to meet schedules and budgets.
• Participate in inspections, audits, and technical reviews as required.
• Provide technical guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practices.
