Job summary

J Murphy & Sons is recruiting a SHES Advisor to support Energy projects in the Norfolk area. You will focus on health and safety compliance, incident investigations, and continuous improvement across civil construction sites.

The role requires solid experience in SHESQ processes, audits, and data analysis, with the ability to advise managers and supervision teams on statutory duties and best practices to ensure safe work environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as SHES Advisor or in a similar Health & Safety role.
• Experience on Civil Engineering or Construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of SHESQ procedures and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers and supervisors on discharging Health & Safety responsibilities.
• Ensure personnel are aware of statutory duties and provide guidance.
• Assist management to ensure SHESQ Plan compliance.
• Carry out accident/incident investigations and recommend improvements.
• Manage SHESQ data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in audits, working groups, and safety committees.
