Job summary

Bekaert is seeking skilled rope inspection professionals to support our expanding European operations. You will perform on-site rope inspection, installation, removal, and related tasks on client sites, ensuring adherence to safety and quality procedures.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in steel wire rope inspection, offshore certifications, and the ability to work independently while maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must follow HSE policies and permit-to-work procedures.
• Risk assessments, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Always wear PPE and safety equipment.
• Stop work and escalate unsafe conditions.
• Act as a safety role model on site.
• Strong safety mindset and vigilance.
• Able to work independently in the field.
• Knowledge of steel wire rope construction and inspection criteria.
• Experience with ISO, EN and OEM inspection standards.
• Willing to obtain offshore survival certification (BOSIET or GWO).

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site rope inspection, installation, replacement and removal.
• Splicing and socketing support.
• Rope handling, reeving and tensioning.
• Execute work according to approved procedures and instructions.
• Ensure correct use of tools, equipment and materials.
• Create Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• On-site supervision where necessary.
