Job summary

RES in the United Kingdom is seeking an O&M Offshore Technician to deliver operation and maintenance services across onshore and offshore wind assets. You will report to an Operations Manager and perform electrical and mechanical tasks, inspections and retrofits, coordinating site works with internal teams and contractors.

You must be comfortable working offshore, at height and in confined spaces; NVQ3 or equivalent is required, with GWO training and rigging qualifications desirable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience with data logging and communications systems.
• LV & mechanical fault-finding and analysis.
• Knowledge of wind turbines and related equipment.
• Knowledge of balance of plant for offshore wind farms.
• Knowledge of HV systems and HV safety rules.
• Awareness of working at height and confined space.
• Excellent safety attitude and site management.
• Ability to work offshore and at height.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver onshore and offshore operation and maintenance services.
• Inspect and perform planned maintenance and retrofits.
• Coordinate site works and manage contractor performance.
• Produce risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and contractual requirements.
