Job summary

Aquaterra Energy is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for an office-based role in Norwich. The candidate will work on mechanical design for offshore topside and subsea projects, performing calculations, drafting, and documentation.

The role requires proactive planning, strong CAD skills, and ability to deliver high-caliber work to tight project timelines. Opportunities for growth and development are provided within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven offshore mechanical design experience (topsides and subsea).
• Experience preparing design packs for third party review and approval.
• 2D/3D CAD capability and design calculations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively undertake design tasks from inception to completion.
• Plan design work to meet project milestones and delivery deadlines.
• Prepare URS documents for projects in collaboration with leadership.
• Develop conceptual designs into detailed engineering solutions with calculations.
• Lead and chair design reviews as required by the Design Engineering Process.
