Job summary

Motive Offshore Group is seeking a Lead Equipment Operator to commission and operate offshore equipment, providing day-to-day leadership and technical guidance to Operators while ensuring safety and project efficiency.

The role requires extensive offshore experience, rigour in maintenance, and strong client liaison skills to support global projects and continuous improvement across geographies.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with flex lay equipment such as RDS, tensioners, and carousel systems, leading operations and supervising personnel to meet project specs.
• Extensive experience leading offshore and onshore operations, coordinating work scopes and ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Hydraulic experience and/or a Mechanical/Engineering trade.
• Relevant years’ experience operating machinery in offshore industry.
• Must hold a valid offshore medical certificate in accordance with OEUK requirements.
• Offshore certification including OGUK survival or Seaman’s health certificate.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritise.

Responsibilities

• Lead equipment operations on site and supervise Equipment Operators.
• Coordinate mobilisation and utilisation to meet project requirements.
• Carry out inspections, fault finding, diagnostics and first-line repairs.
• Maintain compliance with procedures and industry standards.
• Complete maintenance records and operational documentation.
• Liaise with client and project teams to ensure safety and efficiency.
