Job summary

CB&I Asset Solutions seeks an Instrument Technician for offshore assignments on the Cygnus Alpha, on a 2x3 rotation. You will perform planned and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control systems, support IT/Telecoms, and ensure asset integrity and safe operations.

You will join a team delivering safe, reliable, and efficient energy asset management offshore, bringing experience in DCS/ICSS, metering, and instrumentation, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Educated to ONC level or equivalent.
• Industry recognised apprenticeship in Instrument / Control Systems Maintenance.
• Appropriate Vocational Qualification or Certification in Instrument Maintenance.
• 2+ years’ oil & gas experience as Instrument/Control Technician.
• Experience with DCS/ICSS, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of IT/Telecoms, metering and measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Offshore survival training (BOSIET/FOET) and medicals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in maintenance as part of an integrated team to maximise plant availability and asset integrity.
• Execute planned and corrective Instrumentation and Control maintenance work.
• Assist other disciplines and contractors as required.
• Maintain and calibrate instrumentation systems and equipment.
• Support IT/Telecoms and metering activities within maintenance.
• Complete maintenance records in CMMS and keep 'as-built' drawings updated.
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with health & safety procedures.
• Prepare and participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks.
