Job summary

V.Group is seeking a Field Engineer for construction vessel projects. The role involves offshore engineering work, liaising between onshore and vessel teams, and ensuring compliance with design criteria and company standards. A Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree and 4–8 years in structural design and offshore lifting are required.

You will coordinate with Superintendents, provide technical guidance, and contribute to safe, efficient offshore operations on construction vessels worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills in Dutch and English are essential.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform offshore engineering work for each project.
• Advise Superintendent on project installation engineering matters.
• Act as liaison between onshore and offshore project teams and vessel staff.
• Ensure offshore engineering work meets company standards, design criteria and guidelines.
• Perform field calculations and designs.
• Coordinate and supervise dimensional control surveys.
• Verify calibration of inspection, measuring and test equipment.
• Prepare job reports.
• Coordinate and oversee welding operations with the Shift Welder Foreman.
