Job summary

Serco Limited seeks an Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to maintain and operate the vessel's electrical and electronic systems, including DP, navigation, and communications. You will ensure safety, compliance, and reliability of all electrical assets and coordinate with shoreside support and the Chief Engineer.

Essential: STCW ETO certificate, seagoing ETO experience, and strong fault-diagnosis skills; desirable: DP/offshore exposure and GMDSS endorsement.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW Electro Technical Officer certificate and seagoing ETO experience.
• Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic, and automation systems.
• Experience with fault diagnosis and system recovery under operation.
• Familiarity with PMS and audit requirements.
• Desirable DP vessel/offshore experience and GMDSS endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and operate electrical and electronic equipment onboard.
• Support navigation, communications, DP, and power systems for safe vessel operation.
• Execute planned maintenance per PMS, ensuring timely completion.
• Maintain audit-ready records and liaise with shoreside support and engineers.
• Provide guidance to engineering staff and deck officers for safe operations.
