Job Description

TEXO Recruitment are seeking a skilled professional with experience working with Trenchers, QTrenchers, ROVs or Ploughs to work internationally on behalf of our external client who is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The role involves providing hands-on technical support and operational guidance for a range of subsea vehicles & products, both in the factory and at various customer locations worldwide as needed.

In this role you will be supporting the product life cycle activities such as:

Product Pre-shipment Phase:

  1. Production
  2. Commissioning
  3. Factory Acceptance Testing

Product Post-shipment Phase:

  1. Installation
  2. Commissioning
  3. Mobilisation
  4. Sea Trials
  5. Final Acceptance Testing
  6. Operations Support (Advisory)

You will be required to attend medicals, maintain required certifications and qualifications, attend site for training (as a trainee) and competency development, general meetings and pre- and post-deployment meetings.

What skills and qualifications do you need?

  1. Experience working offshore or in a factory environment.
  2. Experience with Trenchers, QTrenchers, ROVs or Ploughs.
  3. Willingness to travel globally with, at times, very short notice and significant periods spent away from home.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. A commitment to always working safely whilst providing quality customer service.
  6. A good team player with a flexible attitude and strong customer-facing skills.
  7. An understanding of the importance of submitting timely and accurate FS daily and fault reports at all times and the ability to lead field service teams during system mobilisation and operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Formal technical qualification in Electrical or multidisciplinary engineering.
  2. Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary offshore safety, survival, and medical certifications.
