Job Description

We are looking for several offshore crane technicians to join our client on a permanent basis, working in the offshore, ports and shipping, and oil and gas industry, based from the UK, to work remotely on a flying-squad basis.

As part of the offshore crane technician position, you will receive full training and work in a variety of environments on a wide range of equipment worldwide.

The company supports the oil and gas industry, and after winning new contracts globally, they are planning to expand significantly over the next 12 months.

Ideally, you will be apprentice-trained in either electrical engineering, hydraulic engineering, or mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of client cranes and lifting equipment, both onshore and offshore.
  2. Perform repairs and inspections on various electrical equipment and systems.
  3. Conduct fault finding and repairs on hydraulic and mechanical equipment and systems.
  4. Carry out commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of mechanical equipment, both onshore and offshore.
  5. Assist with spares identification and procurement.
  6. Produce clear, factual, documented reports.
  7. Perform rigging and lift planning.
