Job summary

Kent is seeking an Offshore Structural Consultant (SME) to lead technical expertise on offshore concrete structures. You will provide consultancy across the oil & gas and offshore wind sectors, including life extension and decommissioning studies, across UKCS and international clients.

The role requires a Master’s in Structural/Civil Engineering and Chartered Engineer status, with proven SME-level experience and strong communication for reports and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IStructE/Fellow status preferred.
• Extensive SME-level offshore concrete structures experience.
• Strong knowledge of UKCS regulatory requirements and industry guidance.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for offshore concrete structures, leading technical advisory work.
• Provide consultancy across oil & gas and offshore wind sectors within the UKCS and internationally.
• Lead technical studies on life extension, decommissioning, and structural integrity for offshore concrete assets.
• Prepare, review and present technical reports, specifications, and methodologies to clients.
• Ensure outputs comply with codes, standards, client requirements and internal procedures.
