Job summary

A leading energy solutions firm is seeking an Offshore Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to ensure compliance with electrical safety rules while working on offshore wind projects. The ideal candidate will have 66kV experience and relevant offshore certifications. This role involves producing safety documentation and overseeing safe working practices. Competitive daily rates apply, with opportunities for extension.

Qualifications

  • Must have offshore medical certificate including Chester Step.
  • Must hold Offshore HUET certification.
  • Previous offshore windfarm or 66kV experience essential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe working practices are in place, reporting incidents.
  • Produce and review switching schedules.
  • Provide isolations and safety documentation for the project.

Overview

Role: Offshore 66kV SAP

Sector: Offshore Wind

Location: Offshore (Mobilise from Northeast England)

Rotation: 2/2

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 6 Months + Likely Extension

Rates: £750 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella

Clearance: BPSS (DBS/DS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK

Working as the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) providing safety from the system under client Electrical safety rules, by carrying out isolations, earthing and safety documents.

Previous offshore windfarm or 66kV experience essential.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe working practices are in place, reporting incidents, undertaking risk assessments and audits, promoting a positive Health and Safety culture.
  • SAP duties as required reporting to Lead SAP.
  • Producing and reviewing switching schedules.
  • Provide isolations and safety documentation for the project
  • Working under client High Voltage safety rules (Model Distribution Safety Rules)
  • Assisting in the testing and commissioning of HV/LV systems
  • Provide personal supervision if required
  • Conduct and review point of work risk assessments
Requirements
  • Full GWO: Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights.
  • Offshore medical certificate including Chester Step
  • Offshore HUET
  • Knowledge of WTG WTSR
  • Knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Current Senior Authorised Person authorisation to 66KV or above
