Job summary

Matchtech in Stevenage is seeking an Offload Controller on a 12-month contract to support defence programmes. You will lead SAP-based planning and offload tasks across Development and Production, ensuring timely placement and monitoring.

The role collaborates across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics and external suppliers, driving data accuracy, KPI reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Release and manage all work within the SAP system, ensuring delivery forecasts are accurate and communicated to customers.
• Support schedule adherence, inventory, and delivery KPIs by executing the planning process efficiently.
• Maintain precise records within a Data Management System and process data to uphold accuracy.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment by acting as a bridge between various departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and external vendors.
• Collaborate with Goods Receiving, stores, and dispatch (Logistic Services) to resolve queries and maintain SAP accuracy.
• Support effective non-conformance management controls.
• Provide advice and support to stakeholders, detailing best practices and contributing to process improvement within the team.

Location: Stevenage (hybrid - 2-3 days per week onsite)

Duration: 12 month initial contract

Rate: £40ph UMB (Inside IR35)

Role details:

We are looking for an Offload Controller to support our defence client on a contract basis.

The role s essential in supporting the Test Equipment Offload across multiple programmes in both Development and Production. This position ensures timely offload task placement and continuous monitoring throughout the process to meet programme requirements.
