Job summary

Stirling Warrington is seeking an experienced Offline CNC Miller Programmer in Birmingham to join an established automotive engineering team. You will program, set and run 3-5 axis milling machines, with online Hurco WinMax and Fanuc controls, and offline SolidCAM programming for bespoke, low-volume components.

The role requires reading complex drawings, a time-served apprenticeship, and mentoring experience; there is overtime, pension benefits and a strong machinery investment program.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating 3-5 axis CNC milling machines.
• Strong online programming with Hurco WinMax and Fanuc controls.
• Offline programming using SolidCAM.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Time-served CNC machining apprenticeship or equivalent (Desirable).
• Experience mentoring or training apprentices (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate 3 & 5 Axis CNC milling machines
• Online programming using Hurco WinMax and Fanuc controls
• Offline programming using SolidCAM
• Manufacture bespoke and low-volume precision components
• Produce tooling, fixtures and jigs where required
• Carry out in-process inspection and quality checks
