Job Overview
Job Objectives and Responsibilities
  • Effectively support and assist the SOM in managing the performance of a designated region, ensuring that all contracted and temporary hours are fulfilled by trained officers to the complete satisfaction of those stores/clients.
  • Deputise for the SOM during times of absence and take full responsibility for the operational performance of the allocated business in relation to overall targets set, ensuring compliance with key SLA's/KPI's.
  • Maintain and promote the Mitie brand and reputation by providing an industry-leading security provision.
  • Maximise the efficiency of the deployment of officers utilising systems and technology to deliver intelligence-led services based upon risk and data analysis.
  • Contribute to the success of the Sainsbury's contract through effective training and continuous ongoing colleague coaching.
  • Support the customer and be responsible for the timely completion of crime-related reporting and other related tasks.
Main Duties
  • Deliver results that meet or exceed budget and service delivery requirements, responsible for:
  • Delivery of Mitie company induction and comprehensive STARS training for all newly appointed security officers from induction to probation sign-off
  • Delivery of all corporate training documentation to the required standard for all officers within their area
  • Implementation and follow-up of officer personnel development plans where required
  • Support officer compliance with SMART usage
  • Ensure officer standards as required by the business
  • Deliver focus topics and ad hoc training identified by the business
  • Provide ongoing support to officers to embed learning
  • Manage performance, PIP, and development plans for officers as needed
  • Be integrated into the Mitie duty manager roster
  • Identify and rectify behaviors/endangerments related to Health & Safety in a timely manner
  • Support the SOM with initial investigation of QHSE incidents and complete investigations during SOM absence
  • Ensure uniform standards adherence
  • Undertake responsibilities of the SOM during absence
  • Maintain communication, recognize achievement, and develop the Mitie community
  • Perform duties related to void properties, including site inspections and audits within a designated area
