Office Manager/PA

There’s nothing better than knowing you are part of a team that has made something perfect for someone. At Bloor Homes our Office Manager is a vital role in our large, family-run business that ensures the smooth running of the Regional Office.

We are recruiting for an experienced Office Manager/Secretary to join our Exeter Regional Office, based in Exeter, Devon. This role will require you to work closely with and assist the Regional Managing Director and other members of Senior Management within the region with the day-to-day operations. Along with initially helping with administration and reception duties.

MAIN DUTIES
  • Managing the diary of the Regional MD, including scheduling internal and external meetings.
  • Managing incoming correspondence, re-directing as appropriate and drafting outgoing correspondence on own initiative for sign off.
  • Organising business travel arrangements, liaising with appropriate parties as required.
  • Management of office maintenance contracts.
  • Typing letters, minutes, memos etc. including some spread sheet work.
  • Management of the Reception/Administration staff, ensuring a continuous and professional service.
  • Providing administrative support on behalf of HR for the region with recruitment, induction and correspondence.
  • Carrying out the duties of a regional representative of the Data Compliance Office, as detailed in the Data Protection – Roles & Responsibilities Document.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES
  • Previous experience of working as a secretary or similar position.
  • Good Level of education including English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
  • Bright and positive attitude.
  • Maintains confidence, discretion and intuitiveness.
