Office Manager (Term Time Only)

Salary: 35,235 - 39,513 (pro rata)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed term for 3 terms (at first)
Location: Wolverhampton

Empowering Learning is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and vibrant Nursery school in the Wolverhampton area for an experienced and highly organised Office Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy school office as a senior member of staff, playing a key role in the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Working as a Office manager you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the school office, ensuring it runs efficiently and professionally
  • Be the first point of contact for staff, parents, visitors, and external agencies, providing a warm and helpful welcome
  • Manage and oversee administrative tasks including attendance, admissions, and data entry
  • Support the Headteacher and senior leadership team with diary management, correspondence, and reporting
  • Take responsibility for financial administration, including budgeting, invoicing, and ordering supplies
  • Supervise and coordinate office staff, delegating tasks appropriately and supporting their professional development
  • Liaise with the local authority and external providers to support the smooth delivery of school services
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and statutory requirements

Requirements of Office manager:

  • Has proven experience in a busy office setting, ideally with recent experience in a school environment
  • Possesses strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office and SIMS
  • Is confident in managing varied workloads and delegating effectively within a team
  • Understands financial procedures and school budget responsibilities
  • Is positive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated
