Office Manager Position at Construction Support Business

Our client, a construction support business specialising in providing hardwood timber access mats for sale and hire throughout the UK, is seeking an Office Manager for their Stratford-upon-Avon branch due to continued growth. The Office Manager will be responsible for processing sales and hires, answering telephone enquiries, supporting the sales team, and assisting with accounts and purchasing as required. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, growing company with good long-term prospects.

Salary & Benefits
  • Discretionary bonus (circa 10%, paid annually)

  • Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
  1. Answering telephone and email enquiries
  2. Sales and operations support: taking enquiries, following up on quotations, processing orders, after-sales service
  3. Logistics: arranging deliveries and collections with haulage companies, booking with clients
  4. Liaising with suppliers, transport companies, and customers to keep them informed
  5. Purchasing: ordering goods and services as needed
  6. Maintaining health & safety standards and a clean office environment
  7. Performing senior administrative duties and working independently
  8. Using PC skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sage Line 50, CRM systems
  9. Managing reactive tasks and multitasking with accurate data entry and attention to detail
  10. Preferred: experience in tool hire, builders merchant, or construction environment
  11. Must be based locally to the office
