About The Role

To provide a range of administration support to the project team. To be responsible for the effective management of office facilities and supporting administrative resources.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and administer office management processes and systems to ensure the efficient and effective running of the office
  • Monitor and manage desk allocation
  • Manage the booking system for EV chargers
  • Manage the office cleaning team
  • Manage the booking of hotel accommodation and travel
  • Check and process staff Monthly Overtime Claim Forms
  • Manage the administration of caravan sites
  • Work on Reception and welcome visitors
  • Organise events on site as required
  • Ensure the office is fully compliant with all security protocols and Health and Safety requirements
  • Order office supplies and ensure a sufficient stock level is maintained and replenished as required
  • Check that office equipment is in full working order and take immediate action to ensure any repairs are reported to the relevant internal/external provider
  • Ensure statutory and communication notices are displayed and kept up to date
  • Other ad hoc duties

  • Support the delivery of Highways Sustainability activities

Who we're looking for

The Following Qualities/experience Are Essential

  • Experience in managing a busy office environment and managing a team
  • Experience in prioritising own/others’ work and of allocating and checking work
  • Highly organised and able to work on own initiative
  • Strong communicator able to communicate confidently with all level of colleagues within the business
  • Excellent team working skills and able to build relationships at all levels
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales
  • Very strong customer focus
  • Good IT Skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
