Job summary

Hook Surveys is seeking an Office‑Based Land Surveyor / CAD Technician to join our Dartford, Kent team. This office-based role focuses on drawing and processing survey data, with a competitive salary dependent on experience and optional overtime.

Responsibilities include processing field data, drafting 2D/3D drawings to high standards, and ensuring quality control before issuing drawings, while supporting project timetables under the operations manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ Topographical survey experience.
• Strong work ethic: reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or within a team.
• Excellent communication, IT, and numeracy skills.
• Experience processing survey data and producing 2D & 3D DWG drawings.
• Proficiency with SCC and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Process topographical survey data received from our site teams.
• Draft and produce 2D & 3D drawings to a high standard.
• Check, quality-control, and issue drawings.
• Assist in managing project timescales and workload.
• Adhere to company health & safety policies.
• Report directly to the operations manager.

Over the years, we’ve built an excellent reputation and an expanding portfolio of loyal clients. Due to continued growth, 2015 saw the opening of our Midlands office and the relocation of our main office to Dartford.

We are now looking for a motivated Land Surveyor / CAD Technician who wants to transition into a more office‑based role, focusing on the drawing and processing side of surveying.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ Topographical survey experience
