Job summary

Hook Surveys in Dartford is seeking an Office‑Based Land Surveyor / CAD Technician to process and plot Topographical and Measured Building Surveys, taking ownership from data to final drawings.

You will draft 2D/3D DWG drawings, perform quality checks on deliverables, and help manage project timescales within a small, experienced team. The role is office-based with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ Topographical survey experience.
• Excellent communication, IT, and numeracy skills.
• Experience processing survey data and producing 2D & 3D DWG drawings.
• Proficiency with SCC and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Process topographical survey data received from site teams.
• Draft and produce 2D & 3D drawings to a high standard.
• Check, quality‑control, and issue drawings.
• Assist in managing project timescales and workload.
• Adhere to company health & safety policies.
• Report directly to the operations manager.

Due to continued growth, 2015 saw the opening of our Midlands office and the relocation of our main office to Dartford.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for an experienced Land Surveyor who enjoys the technical, drawing‑focused aspects of the job and wants to take ownership of processing and plotting Topographical and Measured Building Surveys.

You will work closely with our operations manager and support the wider survey team, managing projects from initial data processing through to final drawing issue.

Requirements

• Office‑based role (Wilmington, Dartford)
• Minimum 2 years’ Topographical survey experience
• Strong work ethic: reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or within a team
• Excellent communication, IT, and numeracy skills
