Job description

A really fantastic opportunity for a junior candidate has arisen, ideally suited to a graduate seeking their first role. This is an all hands on deck sort of job, where you will need to roll up your sleeves and muck-in across different areas of the business. You will be working for a real family business; boutique, friendly, and amazing offices, resembling a beautiful home.

The role is Office Assistant and you will be working closely with the lovely Office Manager, ensuring stationery and kitchen supplies are well stocked, meeting rooms are in order, and some welcoming and greeting of clients. You will also be shadowing the PA's, booking travel, and some diary management for the Directors. There is huge opportunity to learn many support and admin skills and to progress into more senior positions.

The right candidate will have an enthusiastic, helpful, and sunny personality and needs to be happy being in the office 5 days a week.

Duties may include:

  • Supporting all colleagues with general admin and light PA duties as required
  • Greeting visitors and setting up meeting rooms
  • Providing friendly and helpful point of contact for all staff on general office practices
  • Supporting Office Manager with day-to-day running of the office, such as:
    • Keeping office consumables well stocked: groceries, stationery, etc.
    • Helping to build and maintain good relationships with all suppliers
    • Organising employee birthday cards and cake in the office
    • Organising client birthday cards and gifts where necessary
  • Shadowing and supporting Admin team with varied tasks, such as:
    • Booking and arranging travel for colleagues
    • Scheduling meetings
    • Supporting with new starter processes, including IT setup and office show-round

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, efficient in Microsoft Office suite and Google
  • Good work ethic, with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Enjoy being part of a team with a friendly, flexible, and helpful personality
  • The ability to prioritise workload
