The Role and Responsibilities

The role is based in the Prep Office, reporting to the Head of Prep and the Head of Prep’s PA. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer care, administration, and secretarial support, requiring good secretarial skills, an excellent telephone manner, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily Prep Office administration, including manning the Reception Desk, handling calls, welcoming visitors, managing registers, typing correspondence, and updating school records.
Key Duties
  • Provide high standards of admin support
  • Promote and safeguard pupil welfare
  • Liaise with staff, including the Head of Prep, teaching staff, Bursar, and PA
  • Deliver high standards of service to parents, pupils, staff, and visitors
  • Respond to correspondence via phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Assist in creating materials for school events such as Christmas services, drama productions, Prize-giving, and Sports Days

This is a part-time, term-time role of 24 hours per week over 3 days (Monday to Wednesday), usually between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, for 36 weeks per year.
