A leading legal firm in the East Midlands seeks an Office Administrator (Post Room Clerk) for a 12-month fixed-term position. The role involves managing mail, supporting administrative tasks, and providing reception coverage. Ideal candidates should have at least 1 year of experience, strong keyboard skills, and a professional telephone manner. Applicants will ideally have had some previous experience working in a mail-room/post-room environment and will be required to be efficient and effective when dealing with incoming and outgoing mail, DX, parcels, and other deliveries. The role will also involve covering for the Reception desk/switchboard and supporting the general office with a range of admin tasks, including photocopying/scanning documents, making up legal files, archiving, handling stationery orders and stocks, audio typing, and other ad hoc duties.
You will need to have a friendly, outgoing personality and a pleasant, professional telephone manner, coupled with a genuine desire to meet strict daily and weekly deadlines. Good keyboard skills, a well-organised, self-starting approach to work, and a willingness to learn new skills will also be key attributes.
