Job description

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable and skilled office administrator to join our highly dedicated team at Ferney Lee Primary School. This role will be to work in our busy office, as part of an existing team.

The administrative officer is responsible for supporting the administrative, financial and organisational processes within the school.

They will also act as the initial point of contact for parents/carers, visitors and other stakeholders, so will be an ambassador for the school and embody the value, vision and ethos of the school in all interactions.

Applicants should have:

  • Office experience including reception duties.
  • Has a positive and professional manner with a strong sense of confidentiality.
  • Good ICT skills including use of word, excel and other IT platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to use initiative to deal with situations effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Previous experience of working within a primary school is desirable.

Training will be provided as required.
