Accounts Administrator / Office Administrator

Location: Coalisland

Salary: £28,000–£32,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

About the Role
Reactive Recruitment is working with a well-established joinery business in Coalisland, known for quality and reliability. They are seeking an Accounts Administrator / Office Administrator to support both their finance function and general office operations. This hybrid role offers the chance to gain broad experience in accounting and office administration.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting / Financial Duties

  • Process purchase and sales invoices, verifying and coding them correctly

  • Match purchase orders with supplier invoices

  • Undertake bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

  • Support VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements

  • Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes

  • Monitor and manage supplier and creditor accounts

  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to resolve queries

Office Administration

  • Provide general administrative support across the business

  • Maintain accurate filing systems, both electronic and paper

  • Assist staff and management as required

  • Support day-to-day operations: answering phones, handling mail, office supplies, etc.

  • Undertake ad hoc projects to help the wider team

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience in accounts or office administration

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines

  • Clear, professional communication skills

  • Flexible and positive approach, willing to support across different areas

Desirable

  • Experience preparing VAT returns

  • Exposure to accounting software/systems

  • Prior experience in a small business environment

  • Basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles
