Job Description:

We are working with a well-established and boutique accountancy firm whose clients span the entire nation. Due to recent client wins, the firm now needs an office administrator with the following:

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • At least 1 year’s administration experience essential
  • Experience using Companies House web filing essential
  • Highly organised, proactive, and a self-starter
  • Able to prioritise workload and work independently
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
  • Team player with active participation and ability to work independently
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
  • Manage team tasks, ensuring they are updated and progressed
  • Liaise with clients for information requests
  • Handle ad-hoc team tasks, ensuring timely progress
  • Manage year-end deadlines and communicate with the Head of Accountancy
  • Perform general company secretarial duties (incorporations, filing confirmation statements, director appointments)
  • Liaise with HMRC on VAT, Corporation tax, and PAYE queries
  • Prepare documents and official correspondence
  • File documents correctly with Companies House and HMRC
  • Draft Letters of Engagement
  • Onboard and offboard clients
  • Carry out AML checks
  • Handle scanning, filing, and post
  • Provide other administrative support as needed
