Qualifications

Job description
Overview

Reporting to the Office Manager, the Office Administrator will play a key role in being the first point of contact for members and non-members, by telephone, email or visiting the BMA Wales office. This is a varied role which will require you to take responsibility for reception and administration duties, assisting with events and meetings together with elements of facilities management in conjunction with the Office Manager. This is a fixed term contract for six months. It is part time role for 24 hours per week. The working days are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday based at our office in Cardiff.

Responsibilities
  • Front-line reception and administration; act as first point of contact for members and non-members by phone, email or in person.
  • Support events and meetings logistics; assist with preparation and attendance as required.
  • Assist with facilities management in conjunction with the Office Manager.
  • Provide general administrative support and contribute to a positive office environment.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a Receptionist, Office Administrator or equivalent role would be advantageous
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Experience with inbox management
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience and knowledge of the full MS Office suite is required including: Microsoft Teams, Word and Excel
  • Experience with event organising would be advantageous (assisting with the preparation of events and attending internal and external events when required)
  • Previous exposure to case management / CRM systems would be advantageous alongside a working knowledge of video conferencing kit
