A top-tier media agency is seeking a detail-oriented Office Administrator with extensive bookkeeping experience to join their Birmingham headquarters. This diverse role blends financial management with overseeing the daily operations of the office, supporting a vibrant team that collaborates with prominent global media brands.

Salary - Up to £40K

Location - Birmingham (on-site)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including sales/purchase ledgers, expenses, and royalties.
  • Manage multi-currency reconciliations across bank accounts, PayPal, and Stripe.
  • Process invoices, supplier payments, and assist with credit control functions.
  • Prepare VAT returns and provide support for year-end financial reporting.
  • Oversee office logistics, including tracking supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, and manage service schedules and contracts.
  • Offer general administrative support and help optimise internal processes.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in cloud accounting software and Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and clear communication.
  • Confidence in managing relationships with suppliers, contractors, and supporting internal teams.
  • A bookkeeping or accounting qualification is a plus.
  • At least one of these qualifications: Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA).
