HRS Talent Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking an Office Administration Assistant to manage the policy version register. You will enter details supplied by the document owner, check links and record approved changes.
You will not write policies or decide what a rule means, but you will ensure the current version is accurately reflected in the register. The role is remote with flexible hours, offering £28.00–£30.25 per hour and options for full-time or part-time work.

The same document can appear in an inbox, a team folder and a staff resource page. If the copies carry different dates, colleagues may use instructions that have already been replaced. This position maintains the register that tells the team which approved version is current and where it can be found. You would enter details supplied by the document owner, check links and record approved changes. You would not write policies, decide what a rule means or declare an unapproved draft ready for use.
The work begins with evidence of approval. A document owner may tell you that version four is effective from a stated date and replaces version three. You would compare the title, identifier and effective date with the supplied instruction, then update the appropriate online register. If a file is labelled “final” but no approval record exists, you would hold the entry and ask for confirmation. A polished filename is not the same as authorisation.
You may be asked to:
For example, a manager may send a revised customer response guide to the office team. You could update its register entry once the manager confirms the approved version and effective date. If the shared link still opens the earlier copy, you would report or correct it within the permissions given. If the new file is missing a page, do not repair the policy yourself. Ask the owner to supply a complete authorised file before the register claims it is available.
Customer service teams need dependable instructions when answering online enquiries. Your office administration helps them locate the correct material, but you do not decide how a complicated customer question should be answered. When a colleague asks whether a particular situation is covered, you can identify the current document and route the interpretation question to the owner. Maintaining that boundary protects both the colleague and the person receiving the answer.
Version work also involves electronic filing. Use the employer’s naming and retention rules rather than creating a separate personal archive. A draft may remain visible to its owner but should not be presented as the live source. If a register entry points to an inaccessible folder, record the problem and ask about access rather than moving a restricted file into a public location. Check changes after saving so an accidental date format or broken link does not make the list misleading.
You do not need to arrive with policy experience. The employer will train you on its approval steps and digital recordkeeping tools. This introductory role calls for careful comparison, concise written questions and comfort using an online document system. A home office with a reliable connection makes it easier to work through filenames, dates and links without losing the source instruction. If you have organised shared information for a club, class or previous job, that experience can be relevant.
The hiring company will confirm the actual schedule. Full-time or part-time work may be available for a particular opening. The pay band is shown above. Success here is easy to describe: an authorised colleague can find the right current document, see what it replaced and identify any outstanding version question before acting on outdated information.
