Join us as an Offender Services Team Leader at Thirteen Group!

Role Overview:

Thirteen Group is on the lookout for an Offender Services Team Leader on a fixed term basis until end February 2027. You’ll lead our Ministry of Justice funded accommodation contract across the Durham area, managing a team working within HMP Durham and the community too.

The Resettle North East contract provides support for ex-offenders to source, secure and sustain accommodation. Having stable accommodation goes a long way to help people break the cycle of re-offending.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You’ll manage a team of 7 colleagues who are predominantly delivering services in County Durham, both in HMP Durham and in the community.
  • Lead our service provision across Durham which provides personalised support for ex-offenders in both custodial and community settings.
  • Work in strong partnership with prisons, probation services, local authorities and housing providers.
  • Responsible for ensuring the team delivers high levels of performance to meet contractual requirements. You’ll allocate and monitor progress on referrals into the service.
  • Ensure that the team delivers a high-quality customer experience, to create fans of Thirteen.

About You:

  • You don’t necessarily need to have experience working in a custodial setting. If you’ve got experience of delivering high performing services and working with external partners, we’d be interested in hearing from you.
  • Someone who motivates, inspires and develops colleagues to provide a holistic service.
  • You’ll have experience of leading a team with a coaching style of leadership. If you’re looking for a step up, we’d also welcome your application.
  • Communicates effectively with external stakeholders, customers, and colleagues. This will be complemented with fantastic report writing and presentation delivery skills.
  • You’ll be passionate and driven to ensure positive outcomes against contract requirements.
  • The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS and HMPPS vetting.
