Purpose of the role:
This role is responsible for assisting the Off-Price buyer in all aspects of administration, including the Critical Path, Samples, and Administration Management, to ensure on-time delivery of products to specification, from proto handover to product launch.
Responsibilities:
- Critical Path/Range Plan Management:
- Management of the critical path and department processes to ensure all information is up to date and accessible by other teams.
- Ensuring all style details are inputted accurately to the range plan on time.
- Ensuring phasing and deliveries are correct on the Critical Path with weekly meetings with Merchandising.
- Amending orders where required.
- Entering all data into Futura to facilitate order raising.
- Answering ad hoc queries as required.
- Sample Management:
- Managing and coordinating sample requirements for the buying department, including Press, Wholesale, and Photo samples.
- Chasing in all samples to meet deadlines.
- Preparing product reviews and ensuring all samples are set up when needed.
- Managing product storage for the department.
- Catalogue Information:
- Proofreading the catalogue with the buyer before press.
- Collating catalogue information between Garment Tech, Merchandising, Marketing, and Buying, and ensuring completion before deadlines.
- Other Buying responsibilities:
- Assisting in fit sessions and providing administrative support.
- Conducting competitive shopping trips to understand the market and Crew’s position.
- Taking notes during meetings.
- Updating and filing all product data requirements.
- Maintaining style information and cost prices on the Range plan and Futura.
- Managing sample invoice processes.
- Undertaking development or project work set by the buyer.
- Managing general team administration tasks.
- People/Communication:
- Collaborating with Design, Merchandising, and Garment Technology teams to ensure smooth product lifecycle transition.
- Attending weekly updates and meetings.
- Maintaining excellent communication across the company.
- Assessing and escalating queries or issues that may cause delays or costs.
