The role:

Responsible for managing and developing Original Equipment Manufacturers, System Integrators and Indirect Partner accounts within a defined geographic area, including the acquisition of new business, in order to deliver relevant solutions and achieve sales targets.

Core to the role will be establishing and developing strong relationships, leading meetings and negotiations and defined revenue targets per individual customer and the full account portfolio.

What you’ll do:

  • Area Management - Manage and control all commercial activities within the defined territory - participate in the budget process, monitor your achievement against budget.
  • Planning - Create a clear business plan for your territory that is monitored and followed by you and your sales manager with SMART goals set and achieved.
  • Target Customers - Work in conjunction with your sales manager to determine which accounts/prospects to prioritise best way to win.
  • Sales and Group process/project/implementation - Ensure you have a clear understanding of the price policy, compliance and procedure etc. Ensure all KPIs are achieved.
  • Data Capture - Ensure usage of SFDC is in line with group guidelines and that we are maintaining records such as close dates, install base, call reports etc as part of your everyday tasks.
  • Use SFDC to track area performance. Ensure that you maintain accurate and current data within SFDC to allow automatic forecasting, business planning, customer targeting etc.
  • Pipeline Management – Ensure the pipeline is maintained and accurate. Work with CRM Manager/Marketing Manager/Sales manager to instigate initiatives where you see pipeline or opportunity decline.
  • Sales Leads - Follow-up sales leads within 24 hours updating status within SFDC.

What you need to have:

  • Proven track record as an Account Manager within an industrial B2B company, ideally within the Coding and Marking market or other Packaging Machinery business working with OEMs, Resellers and Distributors selling into the Food and Beverage markets.
  • Alternatively, you may be from an engineering background within this sector who is looking for an opportunity in a more commercial role.
  • Knowledge of consultative sales techniques and value selling.
  • Experience in managing sales in the assigned territory.
  • Ability to work remotely whilst maintaining own initiative and fluent and efficient communication with the line manager and the team.
  • Availability to travel on a regular basis.
