University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an OD Practitioner to lead on OD interventions and to support organisational development, culture, leadership, and team effectiveness across the Trust.
You will work with internal and external stakeholders, design interventions to maximise efficiency, staff value and patient outcomes, and handle highly confidential information with initiative.
The successful post holder will be an experienced OD generalist and will play a key role in delivering the UHD People Strategy through the design and implementation of a broad range of OD interventions. This will include supporting organisational development, culture, leadership, team effectiveness and engagement initiatives.
You will be responsible for leading on OD projects working with the many stakeholders within our organisation and regional and national partners. The OD Practitioner is a core member of the Organisational Development Team. As a consultant you will provide professional advice and expertise to ensure interventions are designed to maximise organisational efficiency, value staff and improve patient outcomes. The role requires previous experience of co-ordinating and managing OD projects; delivering interventions in a complex organisation and facilitation within an Acute Hospital environment or similar healthcare setting.
You will be a self-motivated, proactive, creative, hands-on and collaborative individual with an interest in building relationships at every level within the organisation and with external partners.
UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
UHD has active networks including Women's, BAME, Pride, EU, Pro Ability, and Armed Forces. We support Disability Confident and Armed Forces Covenant interview schemes.
