Here at Human Appeal, we have an exciting opportunity for an OCW Data and Fund Manager to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. The role requires you to be in the office full time. You will join us on a full-time basis for an initial 1-year term. In return, you will receive a salary between £39,950 to £54,050 per annum, dependent on experience.

Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs, and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.

As OCW Data and Fund Manager, the successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Orphan and Child Welfare (OCW) program. This includes overseeing key operational processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and maintaining alignment with program objectives. Responsibilities also involve drafting and ensuring timely signing of Funding Agreements for regional and field offices, supporting the improvement of the orphan sponsorship methodology, monitoring internal processes for compliance, conducting regular checks on termination submissions, maintaining data quality in Salesforce, and managing the orphan sponsorship termination process to minimize financial impact and optimize program performance. The role significantly contributes to enhancing the overall effectiveness of OCW initiatives. We are ideally looking to appoint someone immediately.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Act as the main contact for the Orphan Sponsorship Programme regarding data and fund processes for internal departments and regional offices (e.g., France, Spain, USA).
  • Achieve year-on-year increases in donor acquisition and retention for the sponsorship program.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry, validation, and reconciliation of sponsorship data in Salesforce.
  • Manage the orphan sponsorship termination process in line with guidelines, aiming to reduce terminations and mitigate financial impacts.
  • Monitor Salesforce to identify high-priority cases, communicate with regional offices and income departments, and provide coaching to identify priorities.
  • Contribute to financial management by participating in budgeting, ensuring quarterly funding agreements and payments, and reconciling expenditures.
  • Deliver at least two comprehensive donor reports annually to foster engagement and retention.
  • Ensure regional and field offices sign Funding Agreements on time and transfer funds accurately and promptly.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as data science, computer science, information management, statistics, public administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a bonus.
