Are you a creative teacher who makes engaging materials for your class?
OCR are currently seeking Developers to provide general teaching input to review and develop engaging content based on current teaching practice, what happens from a teacher's point of view, and what would support them more. Potentially this would mean a mix of subject matter experts and general developers who would be comfortable developing content that is non specialised / across multiple subjects. Currently we are looking within the following areas:

We are looking for education experts like you to join our team of Developers with a focus on online courses for teachers. As one of our developers you will use your knowledge, experience and creativity to help us deliver our support packages for new qualifications, providing teachers with high quality resources and guidance.
You will have appropriate subject and assessment expertise within the UK education system, and have the ability to produce and revise material to a specified brief. You will be aware of the current educational climate and be familiar with new and evolving developments in your subject.
Using a brief provided for each task, you would write, adapt and submit support resources or be involved in reviewing existing support resources. Tasks would vary in the length of time required, however we would always look to be flexible with deadlines to accommodate this work around your existing commitments. The brief will provide a direction for the content, as well as a preferred format, with the aim of creating high quality support for teachers at different stages of the qualification delivery. The support resources may include, for example, professional development training materials, schemes of work, candidate style answers, sample assessment materials, e-learning course content, recorded video presentations, or other teacher support content.
The ability to use IT confidently and effectively is essential to this role (this includes Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Developing and revising resources would be carried out at home on an ad hoc basis as and when required. Remuneration will be set on a task by task basis. You will need to use your own IT equipment to complete the tasks.

Task
Using powerpoint or word, create an online asynchronous lesson.
Your lesson is part of a larger course and is to support teachers learning about your subject matter qualification. You should aim to focus on assessment criteria / study area. The lesson plan should include resource ideas. The suggested resource ideas could be hyperlinks/external activities or suggestions for activity creation, suitable for a Level 3 qualification (e.g. links to websites, videos, resources you think are suitable).
There is no requirement to create activities/resources as part of this application task.

Please note, if you are involved in the production of live material you cannot undertake training development or training delivery tasks for OCR.
