Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Practitioner to join the new and transformational One Coventry Integrated Team (OCIT) service. The trust along with Coventry City Council and Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust have designed and developed 3 Local Integrated Teams (LITs) across the city of Coventry which are supported by multi-professional teams offering a holistic and integrated approach to urgent community needs for the residents of Coventry.

Local integrated care is one of the Trust's fundamental purposes, as set out in our refreshed strategy for 2022-2030; 'More than a hospital'. The Trust has an ambition to deliver improvements in the health and wellbeing of our local populations through collaboration with partners across the health and social care system. The role of therapy and therapy support staff is key to the successful delivery of this exciting and transformational service aimed to improve the health and wellbeing of the Coventry population.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as an Assistant Practitioner within One Coventry Integrated Team as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • The post holder will provide rehabilitation to adults in Coventry with a wide range of conditions under the direction of a team of qualified therapists, in patients current residence, or other community setting (e.g. short term placement).
  • Assist and lead in supporting individualised treatment programmes assessing and reviewing outcome measures and supporting effective service development.
  • In addition to these responsibilities following training and completion of clinical competency document the Assistant Practitioner will be able to deliver delegated therapy assessments and interventions with a level of autonomy equal to their qualification and competency.
  • As required, to work flexibly to ensure appropriate service provision over a 7 day working pattern.
  • To adhere to the lone worker policy.
  • There will be an on-going and daily requirement for the post-holder to travel to different locations within Coventry and Warwickshire
  • The post holder will be required to have a full UK driving licence & car and to be insured for business use (please note that an international driving license is not accepted).
