Job summary

White Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established logistics provider in Manchester. We are seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Operator to manage sea freight shipments from start to finish and deliver excellent customer service.

You will handle import/export/cross-trade ocean shipments, book cargo, perform customs clearance and documentation, and liaise with carriers and partners. Increasing responsibilities include quotations, costing, and account growth.

Qualifications

• End-to-end Ocean Freight forwarding experience.
• Knowledge of import and export operations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
• CargoWise experience would be advantageous.

Are you an experienced Ocean Freight Operator looking to join a growing freight forwarding business where you'll be trusted, supported and given genuine opportunities to develop your career?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, privately owned logistics provider with an excellent reputation for delivering first-class freight solutions. Due to continued growth, they're looking to strengthen their Manchester operations team with an experienced Ocean Freight Operator.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing sea freight shipments from start to finish, ensuring every consignment is handled efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Managing import, export and cross-trade ocean freight shipments
• Booking cargo with shipping lines and overseas agents
• Customs clearance and shipping documentation

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

• Previous end-to-end Ocean Freight forwarding experience

• CargoWise experience would be advantageous
