We are actively looking to engage ocean & sea freight professionals with a passion for freight forwarding and aviation shipping for a new role as a Ocean Freight Forwarder working in Nottinghamshire.

Client Details: My client is a market-leader in the shipping industry and has offices based across the world. You will be joining a fast-paced environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, retail & FMCG based customers.

Job Description

As an Ocean Freight Forwarder, you will report to the Ocean Freight Manager on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing ocean freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentations.
• Handling Documents of Operations and transportation (booking, Bills of Laden, pre-advices, loading confirmation).
• Nominating carriers, hauliers and shipping lines, in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms.
• Raising additional customs documentation to ensure the freight can move from country to country (ISF,COO, clearance documentation etc).
• Customer rate analysis on route guidance, whilst monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiency.
• Developing and building relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have an expansive background in ocean freight forwarding across both import and export. The ideal Ocean Freight Forwarder will have:

• 2+ year's experience in freight forwarding in either sea or ocean freight forwarding.
• Experience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across ocean & sea freight.
• Desirable experience of customs compliance.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous.
• Commutable to Nottinghamshire.
