Ocean Export Coordinator - Dartford - Up to 38,000

Our client are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ocean Export Co-ordinator to manage full-cycle ocean export shipments, including documentation, compliance, and customer service. The role requires strong industry knowledge and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Job type: Permanent

Shifts: Monday to Friday (Hybrid working is available)

Salary: Up to 38,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage LCL and FCL ocean export shipments from start to finish

• Prepare and process documentation such as Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Certificates of Origin

• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs/export control procedures (AMS/ACI/ISF)

• Handle bookings and shipping instructions with carriers, including EDI transmissions

• Provide accurate quotations upon request

• Liaise with clients, suppliers, overseas agents, and internal departments

• Monitor and ensure adherence to KPIs and reporting standards

• Resolve shipment issues including documentation, delays, and disputes

• Submit VGM through CNS & Destin8

• Complete financial responsibilities such as accruals and sales invoicing

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years' experience in ocean export forwarding for a UK based forwarder

• Strong knowledge of customs procedures and international trade compliance

• Experience handling Dangerous Goods

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple shipments
