Job Title: Occupiers and Public Liability Paralegal

Location: Sharston, M22 4SN

Salary: A basic salary of £26,500, with a very generous Portal Bonus Scheme.

The Role:
We are currently looking for a Paralegal to join our Portal Team in the OL/PL department. Tenacity, ability, and enthusiasm are more important than qualification. You will be expected to manage your own caseload in the role.

Responsibilities:
  1. Take initial instructions from client and complete FN009.
  2. Ensure correct accident circumstances, injuries, and potential losses are recorded on the file.
  3. Obtain FOAs for medical records and request from medical agency.
  4. Research to ensure the claim is submitted to the correct potential Defendant(s).
  5. Research into accident location, requesting photographs, CCTV, receipts, etc. to ensure the appropriate evidence is obtained as early as possible.
  6. Consideration of the relevant Statute/law to draft allegations to the Defendant.
  7. Consider Claimant's injuries to ensure correct protocol is being followed.
  8. Submit Claims Notification Form (CNF) or Letter of Claim to the Defendant(s).
  9. Chasing Defendant and/or insurer for response.
  10. Consideration of denial and/or disclosure received from Defendant.
  11. Weekly review with supervisor.
  12. Ensure client is kept updated throughout process.
  13. 60+ CNF/LOC per month target to attain £100 bonus.

Person Specification:
  1. Good customer care skills including empathy and the ability to obtain information.
  2. High degree of accuracy.
  3. Administration or telephone-based customer service background is preferable.
  4. Experience with the OL/PL portal is a distinct advantage.
  5. Experience of Proclaim Case Management System.

Salary, Hours And Benefits:
  1. A basic salary of £26,500, with a very generous Portal Bonus Scheme.
  2. Our standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am to 5pm Friday.
  3. 3/2 hybrid working pattern after probation.
  4. 23 days holiday a year, rising to 26 days, plus bank/public holidays.
  5. 3 holiday buy backs per year after 1 year of service.
  6. Extra day's holiday for your birthday after 2 years' service.
