Job summary

Job description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the Occupational Therapy Specialist Services Team.

We are seeking candidates with excellent communication, assessment, decision-making, advocacy, and IT skills. The role involves transporting and delivering minor aids and equipment within the community, so the ability to meet the transport requirements of the post is essential.

The successful candidate will be a vital member of the Occupational Therapy team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Occupational Therapist (OT) and take lead from qualified therapists, including the delivery and fitting of appropriate equipment as assessed.
  2. Carry out assessments and other tasks that have been screened by an OT or within clearly defined work boundaries, under the supervision of a registered Therapist.
  3. Undertake training specific to the client group.
  4. Assist qualified staff with administrative tasks, including requisitioning resources and maintaining resource information.
  5. Liaise with and provide feedback to other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  6. Reflect on and review own practice regularly through supervision and appraisal.
