We are seeking a dynamic and capable Band 6 Occupational Therapist interested in covering a Band 7 maternity leave within our established community learning disability team.
Occupational Therapy plays a vital role in our teams, working alongside other disciplines. The successful candidate should be confident in developing and delivering recovery-focused interventions across all occupational domains with individuals and groups.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide clinical leadership and operational management to the Occupational Therapy team within Dudley community localities in the Black Country, based at The Ridge Hill Center. The trust is committed to high-quality therapeutic services, with recent substantial investments in AHP services.
Applicants should possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, a good awareness of risk management, and excellent time management and professional conduct. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be part of the Learning Disability community transformation, contributing to operational and professional leadership within the OT team, supporting colleagues and support workers. As a key member of the Learning Disability Services Clinical and Management Team, you will manage professional leadership and coordination of the OT team, delivering complex assessments and interventions to adults with learning disabilities and additional health needs, such as distressed behaviors, mental health deterioration, physical health issues, dementia, sensory needs, and postural needs.
