Are you a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist Manager looking to lead and inspire?

We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join our Adult Social Care team as an Occupational Therapy Team Manager, where you’ll play a key role in making a real difference.

Our team is skilled, committed, friendly, and supportive. To help them thrive, we’re seeking a dynamic Team Manager to continue driving development and excellence.

We are dedicated to personalised, strength-based approaches that support B&NES residents to stay active, independent, and living at home.

The team carries out functional assessments of varying complexity in people’s homes and at our OT assessment centre. Based on these assessments, the team may provide equipment, recommend minor or major adaptations, or advise on housing needs.

Your role

As Team Manager, you’ll lead and support a proactive team of Occupational Therapists, delivering person-centred, strength-based interventions. You’ll ensure high-quality service delivery, promote independence, and support wellbeing through innovative and responsive practice.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team of OTs, OTAs and Apprentice OTs
  • Oversee assessments, OT planning, and provision of equipment and adaptations
  • Ensure compliance with statutory duties and local policies
  • Collaborate with Health, Housing, and community partners
  • Drive service improvement and innovation
  • Monitor performance and ensure value for money
About you

You are an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with substantial post-qualification experience in adult social care.

You will have:

  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation including, but not exclusive to, the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Housing and Moving and Handling
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and partnership working abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a coaching approach to management
  • An openness to new ideas and be able to encourage others to adapt and embrace change
  • Due to the nature of the role, being a car driver is essential
