Job summary

Brunel University London is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Practice professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate modules. The role involves collaborating with the team to ensure programme coherence and to develop engaging learning resources.

You will lead on blended learning, assess and provide feedback, supervise projects, and support student progression, while upholding Brunel’s academic standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the design and delivery of teaching across UG and PG modules, ensuring coherence of the programme
• Develop methods and resources for teaching and learning support including online/distance learning and placement preparation
• Design and develop teaching resources that foster debate and rational thinking
• Lead on blended learning and use of the VLE
• Set and mark coursework and examinations; provide feedback to students
• Supervise student projects and placements
• Ensure module design and delivery comply with quality standards and regulations
• Provide pastoral support and monitor student progress
• Visit students during placements and manage disciplinary matters as required
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to programme development and recruitment activities
• Communicate complex ideas accessibly and disseminate good practice
• Engage in scholarship to support teaching activities and external activities
• Attend meetings and participate in external networks to support activities
• Pursue CPD relevant to discipline and subject area
